New Villas at Pheasant Glen Golf Resort Redefine Island Living

A new residential development at the Pheasant Glen Golf Resort in Qualicum Beach, British Columbia, is set to offer homebuyers a unique blend of nature and modern living. The project, developed by Bayshore Construction Inc., features a collection of Villas designed to integrate seamlessly into the stunning landscape, preserving the area’s natural beauty.
Developer Rob McGorman emphasizes that preserving the existing trees is a top priority. “We went with keeping all the trees,” he stated, noting that each villa will back onto a forested area. This approach allows residents to enjoy the lush greenery and wildflowers that define the property, avoiding typical manicured designs often found in residential developments.
The vision for these residences emerged from discussions with the Dutton family, who have owned the golf course for many years. According to McGorman, the idea has been in the works for 17 years, transforming into a reality that reflects the community’s needs and desires.
Plans include various models of homes, ranging from two-bedroom-and-den to three-bedroom, three-bathroom options, all sized between 1,788 and 2,200 square feet. The architectural style complements the West Coast aesthetic, incorporating earthy tones and designs that enhance the natural surroundings.
Expanding Amenities and Community Features
In tandem with the Villas, Pheasant Glen is expanding its amenities. Future developments include tennis and pickleball courts, a gym, a potential swimming pool, an amphitheatre, and a new clubhouse that will feature a restaurant. Additionally, low-rise condominiums are planned, separated from the Villas by a buffer of trees. Homeowners at the Villas will have the option to access these amenities, and they will be prioritized for golf club membership with the initiation fee waived.
For prospective homebuyer Gerry Scott, the Villas represent the ideal combination of lifestyle and location. After leaving the island in 1983, Scott and his wife, Melissa, decided to return and make Qualicum Beach their primary residence. Their decision to purchase was made sight unseen, based on discussions with McGorman and Nicole Proch, head of sales and marketing. “There are no regrets,” Scott affirmed, as the foundation has already been laid for their home, expected to be completed by early spring 2026.
Scott, a 64-year-old retiree, envisions an active lifestyle filled with mountain biking and recreation. “The trails are just outside the yard — golfing, pickleball, the recreation centre,” he noted enthusiastically. The couple chose the Brandon model, which mirrors the show home design, with unique exterior details to ensure individuality among the residences.
Inside, the Villas combine modern style with functional design, featuring floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors to maximize light and views. John Larson from C.A. Design and Bayshore’s in-house designer, Jordan Labas, have curated three distinct interior color palettes, allowing buyers to personalize their spaces while maintaining a cohesive aesthetic throughout the development.
Customizable Homes with Natural Surroundings
Homebuyers are encouraged to make small modifications to their homes. McGorman mentioned instances where clients have requested changes, such as repositioning windows or selecting specific interior features. Scott and Melissa are currently finalizing their design choices, working closely with Labas to incorporate custom lighting fixtures.
The Villas at Pheasant Glen represent a significant addition to the Qualicum Beach community, offering a unique lifestyle that blends nature with modern conveniences. With prices starting at $1,300,000, the project aims to attract buyers looking for both a beautiful home and a vibrant community.
As construction progresses, interest continues to grow, highlighting the demand for quality residential options that respect the natural environment. The project is located at 507 Hole-in-One Drive, where potential buyers can visit the sales centre, open daily from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., or contact via phone at 250-248-7495.
