Barcelona Targets Vlahovic as Lewandowski’s Successor Amid Transfer Buzz

Barcelona is reportedly eyeing Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic as a potential successor to Robert Lewandowski. This interest comes as the transfer window approaches its conclusion, with Barcelona closely monitoring Vlahovic’s situation, according to Gazzetta Dello Sport. The 25-year-old forward is under contract with Juventus until next summer, and the club is keen on offloading him before the window closes.
Vlahovic has attracted attention from several clubs, including Newcastle United and AC Milan. However, recent reports suggest he has declined a move to the San Siro. Barcelona has been actively searching for a long-term replacement for Lewandowski and had considered other options, such as Benjamin Sesko, who recently joined Manchester United.
Manchester United is also making headlines, preparing an offer for Morten Hjulmand, a midfielder currently with Sporting CP. The club has earmarked the 26-year-old as a potential alternative to Brighton & Hove Albion’s Carlos Baleba. Sources indicate that United is ready to submit a bid of approximately £50 million if they are unable to secure Baleba’s services. Hjulmand has a release clause of €68 million in his contract and has previously worked under manager Ruben Amorim during his time in Lisbon.
Transfer Landscape Intensifies
The transfer landscape continues to evolve, with Borussia Dortmund reportedly monitoring the situation of Manchester United striker Rasmus Højlund. The 22-year-old is in discussions with AC Milan, but there remains a possibility he could stay in the Premier League. Meanwhile, Atalanta is targeting Rodrigo Muniz, although they seek assurances about his willingness to move to London before making a formal offer.
In another significant development, Tottenham Hotspur’s £60 million offer for Brazilian winger Savinho was turned down by Manchester City. Savinho’s representatives have traveled to England to facilitate a potential transfer, as the player aims for increased playing time ahead of the 2026 World Cup. Negotiations between the two clubs are ongoing as they seek to agree on a fee for the 21-year-old, who contributed to nine goals in 29 Premier League matches last season.
Bayern Munich is also active in the transfer market, showing keen interest in VfB Stuttgart striker Nick Woltemade. According to Florian Plettenberg of Sky, the 23-year-old and his representatives are willing to discuss waiving approximately €10 million from a transfer clause. It is believed that an offer between €70 million and €75 million would be accepted, despite Bayern having a previous €60 million bid rejected.
Ongoing Rumors and Confirmed Deals
The transfer market remains dynamic, with various clubs evaluating their options. Tottenham is set to make an official bid for Crystal Palace midfielder Eberechi Eze. Discussions are also ongoing between Chelsea and Manchester United regarding a potential agreement for winger Alejandro Garnacho.
Additionally, Inter Milan is intensifying its interest in Manu Koné of Roma, while Atletico Madrid is reportedly eyeing Real Sociedad winger Takefusa Kubo. Premier League clubs are weighing an approach for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Lee Kang-in, while Atalanta has been offered the chance to sign Manchester United left-back Tyrell Malacia.
Nottingham Forest has made an inquiry regarding Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz, and Brentford has agreed on a club-record deal worth £42.5 million for Bournemouth winger Dango Ouattara. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest, and West Ham United have expressed interest in Girona right-back Arnau Martínez.
As the transfer window draws to a close, clubs are actively pursuing signings to bolster their squads for the upcoming season. The next few days will be crucial as teams look to finalize their rosters.
