Cascades Casino Celebrates 10 Years in Kamloops with Big Events

UPDATE: Cascades Casino in Kamloops is kicking off a month of celebrations to mark its 10th anniversary. The festivities began on August 1, 2023, with the launch of the exciting $10,000 Ball Grab Tornado promotion, which will run throughout the month, culminating in special events every Tuesday.

This celebration is not just about entertainment but also community engagement. Since its opening on August 19, 2015, Cascades Casino has welcomed nearly five million visitors and contributed over $60,000 in donations to local non-profits and organizations. The City of Kamloops has benefitted significantly, receiving more than $43.3 million in gaming revenue during the casino’s decade of operation.

Details on the festivities: Match Eatery will serve a special retro menu from August 17 to August 24, featuring crowd-pleasers like cheesy brew, chicken & waffles, and deep-fried Oreos. Guests purchasing the three-course menu will receive a commemorative wine glass while supplies last.

Additionally, the premier Gateway restaurant brand, Atlas Steak + Fish, will also celebrate its milestone with a 10% discount on gift card purchases for ten days, from August 26 to September 4, available exclusively in-restaurant. On August 20, the restaurant will host a $1,000 giveaway on their Instagram page, awarding ten $100 gift cards to lucky winners.

Robert Case, director of operations for BC East at Gateway Casinos, expressed his gratitude, stating,

“As we mark 10 incredible years, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to our guests and community. Your loyalty and enthusiasm have been the heartbeat of everything we do.”

He highlighted the casino’s commitment to providing memorable experiences and supporting local initiatives.

With 47 employees celebrating their decade-long tenure at the casino, Case emphasized the rewarding careers provided by Cascades Casino. The venue was the first Gateway property unveiled as part of a redevelopment strategy aimed at enhancing the customer experience, demonstrating Gateway’s commitment with over $1 billion invested in new projects across Canada.
