New Births Surge in Kankakee County: 12 Babies Welcome in August

URGENT UPDATE: Kankakee County is buzzing with joy as 12 new babies have been welcomed into the community in just the first week of August 2025! This surge in births highlights a vibrant and growing community, with families celebrating their newest members.
The Doggett family from Watseka kicked off the month with the arrival of their second child, a girl named Madeline Grace, born on August 4. Just hours later, on the same day, Gary McDonald Jr. and Marlina Bradford welcomed their first child, a girl named Aiyanna Rayne.
But the excitement didn’t stop there! Jeremy Jones and Salisha Dearing from Bourbonnais proudly announced the birth of twins—a boy, Jayden, and a girl, Jaylisa—making them the fourth and fifth children in their family, also born on August 4.
The joy continued on August 5, with Landon and Lindsay Miller from Bradley celebrating the birth of their fourth child, a girl named Genevieve Elise. Meanwhile, Jonathan and Deborah Washington from Kankakee welcomed their first son, Jayce Micah, and Giovanny Arango and Jaquelin Montoya also celebrated the birth of their daughter, Jadelyn, on the same day.
The following day, August 6, brought even more happiness as Reece Jarvis and Katie Bell from Ashkum celebrated the arrival of their first child, a girl named Harper Rae. This was followed closely by Jacob Moss and Brennalyn Neuman from Bourbonnais, who welcomed their second child, a boy named Levi Taylor.
On August 7, Oshae Nunn and Tierra Maxwell from Kankakee announced the birth of their son, Oshae Jr., adding to the joy of the month. The celebrations continued on August 8 with Trevor and Kelli Wielgus from St. Anne welcoming their first child, a girl named Kennedi. The couple is thrilled, especially since Kelli is the former Kelli Dockstader. Joseph Krischokas and Beth Sanders from Kankakee also welcomed a baby boy, Adley Joseph, on the same day.
Finally, on August 9, Jessica Vaughn from Clifton celebrated the birth of her first child, a boy named John. Maurice and Mihesha Lumpkins from Pembroke Township followed suit on August 10, welcoming their fifth son, Chozen 3. The day wrapped up with Jose Miguel Duran and Yesica Acosta Torres from Kankakee announcing their second child, a boy named Jesus.
