A hit-and-run incident on October 7, 2023, in southeast Calgary has led to one arrest after a truck collided with a pedestrian and two vehicles. The Calgary Police Service reported the collision occurred around 22:30 local time in the Southview area, specifically on Ash Crescent S.E.
Witnesses described the truck involved as a silver Ford F-150. According to police, the vehicle first struck a pedestrian before colliding with two parked vehicles. One of the affected vehicles was parked and occupied at the time, while the other was in motion. Fortunately, only two individuals sustained superficial injuries and did not require hospitalization.
Authorities noted that the initial vehicle located at the scene was not the offending vehicle. Nevertheless, this discovery led to the apprehension of the individual believed to be responsible.
