Livvy Dunne Finds Guidance on Dating from Taylor Swift’s Journey
Former gymnast Livvy Dunne has turned to pop icon Taylor Swift for insight as she navigates her own dating life with professional athlete Paul Skenes, a pitcher for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In an exclusive interview with Page Six, Dunne shared her admiration for Swift, highlighting their shared experiences as successful women dating men in the sports industry.
Dunne noted that both she and Swift are managing relationships with athletes. “(Taylor) has her boyfriend that’s a professional athlete and my boyfriend is a professional athlete, as well,” she said. “And she has her own success and I have my own success, so I try to look at her perspective on things and how she handles criticism, how she navigates.”
As a former star at Louisiana State University (LSU) and a social media influencer, Dunne has a significant following. She recently emphasized the challenges of maintaining a relationship when both partners have demanding careers. “Being with a professional athlete in itself is difficult because they’re always travelling,” she explained.
Dunne recently posted a humorous clip of Swift’s appearance on the New Heights podcast, where Swift quipped, “I think we all know that if there’s one thing that male sports fans want to see in their spaces and on their screens — it’s more of me.” This resonated with Dunne, who shared the clip on her Instagram Story, adding a laughing emoji.
Exploring New Ventures and Aspirations
In addition to her reflections on dating, Dunne discussed her thoughts on gambling, admitting she is currently “in the learning phase.” She also shared an amusing aspiration for when she strikes it rich. “Get five more golden retrievers,” she declared, revealing her affection for the breed. Dunne currently owns an English Cream golden retriever named Roux, who has become a beloved figure on her social media platforms and even featured in a commercial for Purina.
As her ads for Fanatics Sportsbook began airing this week, Dunne expressed excitement about her latest venture. One ad features her in a bathtub on the 50-yard line of the iconic Rose Bowl Stadium. “It’s not every day where you get to be in the Rose Bowl Stadium, in a bubble bath on the 50-yard line,” she remarked. “I think that it was one of the coolest experiences of my life.”
Dunne’s journey continues to evolve as she balances her personal and professional aspirations, all while drawing inspiration from influential figures like Swift. As she navigates her path, it is clear that both women are redefining success in their own unique ways.
