Film crews will take over Market Street in Brantford from August 25 to August 27, 2023, for a new production. This activity, in collaboration with Wilfrid Laurier University, will result in various street closures and increased local activity. An American flag will be displayed at the Market Street entrance to One Market during this period, marking the film’s presence in the area.

The production is operating under the code name “Turkey Meatloaf,” which has previously been associated with the Amazon series “Reacher.” Filming will primarily focus on the exterior of 32 Market Street on August 26, with activities scheduled from 06:00 to 23:00.

Access to One Market will be limited to the entrances from George Street and Colbourne Street. Additionally, Dalhousie Street will experience disruptions due to the filming. The city has announced that there will be street closures and intermittent traffic stoppages from 06:00 to 23:00 on August 26, further impacting local traffic.

As the production proceeds, cast and crew will utilize the lobbies of SC Johnson and the Research and Academic Centre (RAC) for various logistical needs. Residents and commuters are advised to expect detours and sidewalk closures in the vicinity of the filming locations.

The collaboration between the city and university highlights Brantford’s growing role as a destination for film productions, contributing to the local economy and showcasing the area’s appeal. While street closures may cause temporary inconvenience, the potential economic benefits from such productions can be significant.

Overall, as Brantford prepares for this influx of activity, local authorities encourage residents and visitors to plan their routes accordingly during the filming days.
