Yorkville Hometown Days Festival Features Taylor Swift Tribute and More

The annual Hometown Days Festival in Yorkville is set to take place from September 7 to 10, 2023 at Beecher Park. This vibrant community event will offer a variety of attractions, including carnival rides, live music, and local food vendors, all designed to celebrate the spirit of the town.

Among the highlights of the festival is “Eras Night: A Total Taylor Takeover” on Friday, which promises an engaging lineup for fans of Taylor Swift. The festivities kick off at 17:00 with the Swift Hits Jackpot Music Challenge, followed by a trivia contest at 18:00. Attendees can also enjoy the Sip It Off cocktail tasting from 17:00 to 19:00 and partake in Eras Tour-themed activities from 17:00 to 21:00. The evening culminates with a performance by the tribute act “Are You Ready For It: A Taylor Experience” from 19:30 to 21:00.

The festival also features a range of activities suited for all ages. Among them are the Ultimate Air Dogs Competition, a baby contest, a bags tournament, and the popular Pride and Joy Car Show. For those looking for a more adult-oriented experience, Saturday will host Adult Date Night from 16:00 to 22:00, which includes Brews & BBQ and various bar games.

Live entertainment will be a key feature throughout the festival. Performers include the Yorkville Big Band on Thursday from 17:00 to 19:00, iPop on Friday from 17:00 to 18:30, and a diverse array of bands on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday’s lineup includes The Divas from 12:00 to 14:00 and Birdchild from 15:00 to 18:00, while Sunday will showcase a Beatles tribute by American English from 11:00 to 13:00 and 7th Heaven from 14:00 to 16:00.
