NVIDIA Launches RTX 5080-Class Streaming for GeForce NOW
NVIDIA has announced a significant upgrade to its cloud gaming service, GeForce NOW, with the introduction of RTX 5080-class streaming. This enhancement will begin on September 10, 2023, marking a transformative moment for cloud gaming enthusiasts, particularly those who use devices like Chromebooks.
The upgrade, known as the NVIDIA Blackwell RTX upgrade, promises to deliver unprecedented performance levels. Gamers can expect the capability to stream at resolutions and frame rates previously unattainable in cloud gaming. The new high-performance modes will allow for streaming at an impressive 360 frames per second or 240 frames per second with sub-30-millisecond latency. This advancement positions cloud gaming to compete directly with high-end local hardware.
In addition to performance improvements, the upgrade will expand the game library significantly. Users will gain access to over 2,200 new “Install-to-Play” titles. Among these, the highly anticipated shooter, Battlefield 6, is set to launch on the platform in October 2023.
New Games and Upcoming Releases
As the community awaits the Blackwell rollout, NVIDIA has also introduced several new titles to GeForce NOW. The standout release this week is Hell Is Us, a visually impressive AAA title that debuts on its launch day. Joining this title is the much-anticipated sequel, Hollow Knight: Silksong. The full list of new games available now includes:
– Hell Is Us
– METAL EDEN
– Hollow Knight: Silksong
– Cataclismo
– Cronos: The New Dawn
The gaming landscape for September 2023 is robust, with 12 additional titles scheduled for release, including popular names like Borderlands 4 and Dying Light: The Beast.
A Bright Future for Cloud Gaming
The upcoming features and performance upgrades signal a bright future for cloud gaming. Gamers can look forward to a more competitive environment as NVIDIA continues to push the boundaries of what is possible with cloud technology.
Mark September 10 on your calendars for what promises to be a pivotal moment in the evolution of cloud gaming. As NVIDIA prepares for its next phase, the excitement within the gaming community is palpable, setting the stage for a new era of gaming experiences.
