Darren Till Targets Andrew Tate for December Boxing Match

Darren Till is setting his sights on a significant boxing match against Andrew Tate, with the fight reportedly “75% made” for December. This announcement comes after Till’s impressive third professional boxing victory at Misfits Boxing 22, where he knocked out former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold in the third round. This win, which occurred on August 30, 2025, has kept Till’s momentum alive as he navigates his post-MMA career.
In a recent appearance on “The Ariel Helwani Show,” Till expressed his eagerness to compete again this year, identifying Tate as a likely opponent. He stated, “I’m definitely fighting again this year. December… I would think [Tate would be pro match].” Till’s confidence is bolstered by ongoing discussions regarding Tate’s potential return to the ring, despite the influencer’s ongoing legal challenges, which include serious charges in multiple jurisdictions.
Tate, a former kickboxer turned controversial figure, faces an array of legal issues, including allegations of human trafficking and money laundering. He and his brother, Tristan, were arrested in Romania in 2022 and subsequently indicted in 2024 for allegedly operating a criminal syndicate. These allegations have drawn considerable media attention, and the brothers are currently involved in a civil trial set to begin in London in June 2026. They have denied all charges against them.
Despite these challenges, Till believes that a match with Tate could be beneficial for both athletes. He remarked, “It’s looking like a fight that’s going to be made before the end of the year in a great location… It’s huge [for me], it’s life-changing.” He added that the financial rewards are significant, stating, “You fight Andrew Tate, you don’t have to think about working again.”
Till’s recent victory over Rockhold not only highlighted his boxing skills but also marked the conclusion of his current contract with Misfits Boxing. While he remains open to returning to the promotion, he is also exploring opportunities with the UFC and a potential debut in Bare-Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC). His primary concern is securing a contract that reflects his worth as an athlete.
In the aftermath of his fight with Rockhold, Till also entertained the idea of facing retired boxing Hall of Famer Carl Froch. Although he called out Froch in his post-match address, there has been no confirmed arrangement for such a bout. Till noted, “I didn’t know Carl was at the fight… If you’re not bothered, get in there. There’s a sense of, yeah, you’re interested, so get in the ring and let’s face off.”
Another potential opponent for Till is Mike Perry, a bare-knuckle boxing star with whom he has long been linked. Despite ongoing discussions with Perry’s management, any fight between the two seems unlikely in the near future, as Perry is scheduled to face Jeremy Stephens at BKFC 82 on October 4, 2023.
While Till has experienced various types of fighting throughout his career, he expressed a preference for traditional boxing at this stage. “I’ve had a whole lot of fights in my life… I don’t really need that in my mind right now, being cut to pieces,” he explained regarding the differences between boxing and bare-knuckle fighting. For Till, the current focus is firmly on boxing and the exciting prospects that lie ahead.
As December approaches, the boxing community will be watching closely to see if Till and Tate can finalize their highly anticipated match, which could be a defining moment in both of their careers.
