UPDATE: A dangerous person alert has ended following the arrest of Drayden McAdam, a 19-year-old man, who is now in police custody facing multiple weapons-related charges. The Big River RCMP confirmed that McAdam was apprehended shortly after a series of gunshots were reported on the Big River First Nation yesterday afternoon.

Just before 3 PM, authorities received alarming reports of a man on a dirt bike discharging a weapon in the community. In a swift response to maintain public safety, police issued a dangerous person alert. Despite efforts to locate him, McAdam fled into the surrounding woods, prompting the deployment of the RCMP dog service, a drone, and the Critical Incident Response team.
