Comedy enthusiasts in Kelowna have reason to celebrate as renowned comedian Herb Dixon, also known as “The Harley Guy,” is set to perform for two nights of laughter. Scheduled for September 19-20, 2024, Dixon brings his unique blend of humor and talent to the Grand Okanagan Resort and Freddy’s Brewpub, respectively.
Dixon has gained widespread recognition across North America for his impressive Harley Davidson impression, captivating audiences from the grandstands of major events. Notably, he has performed at the Calgary Stampede, which accommodates up to 17,000 spectators, and shared the stage with legendary blues artist B.B. King during Harley Davidson’s 100th anniversary celebration. His impressive resume includes opening acts for iconic bands and artists such as The Doobie Brothers, The Beach Boys, Blake Shelton, and LeAnn Rimes. Dixon has also revved up crowds at the renowned Sturgis Motorcycle Rally prior to performances by Kenny Chesney.
Comedy with a Unique Twist
According to Rob Balsdon, founder of Rain Wreck Comedy, Dixon’s Harley impression is just one facet of his comedic prowess. “His true power is in his ability to shift gears mid-show, crank up the laughs, and take audiences on a side-splitting ride from start to finish,” Balsdon stated.
Audiences can expect an engaging performance that transcends traditional stand-up comedy. “Herb Dixon doesn’t just do comedy. He takes the crowd for a spin, and by the end of the night, everyone’s riding shotgun on the funniest Harley you’ve ever heard,” Balsdon added. This dynamic approach keeps fans entertained and engaged throughout the performance.
