Rockwood Terrace Construction Surges Forward, 25% Complete

URGENT UPDATE: Construction on the new Rockwood Terrace long-term care home in Durham has reached a significant milestone, now standing at 25% completion. This development is a testament to Grey County’s dedication to enhancing public long-term care services, as emphasized by Andrea Matrosovs, Grey County warden. “Seeing a building of this size leap off out of council reports and into reality is absolutely incredible,” she stated.

The project is not only on schedule but also remains within budget, ensuring that the new facility will be ready for residents by 2027. The Rockwood Terrace will expand its capacity by 28 beds, accommodating a total of 128 residents, all of whom will receive 24-hour nursing care with an attending physician available for regular visits.

The new layout will enhance privacy in both private and semi-private room types and will include barrier-free paths and natural walking routes.
