Urgent: One Killed, One Seriously Injured in Vancouver Island Crash

UPDATE: A motorcycle crash near Qualicum Beach on September 13, 2025, has resulted in the tragic death of one individual and serious injuries to another. The incident occurred just after 7:00 PM in the 3900-block of Island Highway, prompting a swift response from emergency crews, including the RCMP, Dashwood Fire Department, and BC Emergency Health Services (BC EHS).

Emergency services received the distress call at 7:30 PM regarding a motorcycle accident in the area. Paramedics dispatched four ambulances to the scene, where they provided critical medical treatment to two victims. Unfortunately, only one person survived the crash.

According to reports from BC EHS, one patient was in critical condition while the other sustained serious injuries. Both were transported to the hospital, where they are currently receiving care. The identities of the individuals involved have not yet been released.
