UPDATE: The Endless Summer Show and Shine in Summerland just concluded on September 13, showcasing an impressive array of antique and vintage vehicles, hot rods, and collectible cars. This year marked a record-breaking turnout with 272 registered vehicles, the highest since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The event, held at Memorial Park, was organized by the Apple Valley Cruisers, a local car club dedicated to automotive enthusiasts. Club president Jacques Lefebvre expressed excitement over the turnout, noting that this year’s participation significantly exceeded previous years.

“It’s a family car club,” Lefebvre stated. “If you’re a car enthusiast, you can join — even with a minivan.” The club, which boasts 135 members primarily from the Okanagan Valley and some from as far as Alberta, aims to foster a welcoming community for all vehicle lovers.

The club hosts two major shows annually, one in spring and another in fall, with proceeds directly benefiting local organizations. In a testament to their commitment, last year alone, the club donated $12,000 to various community initiatives.

This year’s event not only highlighted stunning vehicles but also reinforced the club’s dedication to community engagement and support. As the car enthusiasts gather to celebrate their passion, the impact of such events on local fundraising efforts cannot be overlooked.

With the success of this year’s show, the Apple Valley Cruisers are already gearing up for their next event. Stay tuned for more updates as the club continues to rev up their activities, bringing together car lovers and supporting the Summerland community.
