Calgary Roughnecks Gear Up for Festive Home Opener vs. Bandits

URGENT UPDATE: The Calgary Roughnecks are set to launch their 2025-26 National Lacrosse League (NLL) home season with a thrilling opener against the reigning champions, the Buffalo Bandits, on December 28, 2025, at the Scotiabank Saddledome. This festive event promises a celebration that fans won’t want to miss!

As the Roughnecks embark on their campaign, they will face a challenging schedule, confirmed by league officials. They will compete against all 13 teams in the league at least once, including two matchups each against the Georgia Swarm, Ottawa Black Bears, Colorado Mammoth, Saskatchewan Rush, and newly relocated Oshawa FireWolves.

The Roughnecks kick off their season away from home, starting with a game against the Saskatchewan Rush on December 6, followed by a clash with the Toronto Rock on December 13. Fans can mark their calendars for the much-anticipated home debut when Calgary welcomes the FireWolves on April 4, before heading to Oshawa the following weekend.

The schedule also highlights a special home doubleheader weekend on February 14, featuring the Philadelphia Wings and the Georgia Swarm back-to-back. Additionally, the Roughnecks will participate in the exciting NLL UnBOXed Series Game on January 16 at a neutral site.

A standout event on the calendar is set for March 14, as the Roughnecks host the Black Bears for the annual St. Patrick’s Day Party, promising a festive atmosphere for all attendees.
