UPDATE: The Frankford Huskies suffered a heartbreaking defeat against the Port Hope Panthers in a shootout, losing 3-2 on Saturday night, October 14, 2023. Despite outshooting the Panthers 38-22, the Huskies were unable to secure a win in the PJHL matchup.

Ryerson Minifie emerged as the hero for Port Hope, scoring the decisive goal in the sixth round of the shootout. This victory marks the Panthers’ first win of the season, while the Huskies now hold a record of 1-1-0-1.

Blake Ellis and Liam Storms both celebrated their first goals of the season, contributing to the intense competition. In the shootout, Spencer Stanutz found the net for Frankford, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Panthers’ advantage.
