Canada’s Marissa Papaconstantinou Wins Bronze at Para Athletics
URGENT UPDATE: Marissa Papaconstantinou has just secured a bronze medal for Canada in the women’s T64 100 metres at the world para athletics championships in New Delhi on October 1, 2025. This victory marks Canada’s second medal at the championship, highlighting the nation’s growing presence in para athletics.
Papaconstantinou, a 25-year-old athlete from Toronto, finished the race with a time of 13.06 seconds. She faced fierce competition from her rivals, including Fleur Jong from the Netherlands, who clinched gold with an impressive time of 12.29 seconds, and silver medalist Marlene Van Gansewinkel, also from the Netherlands, who finished in 12.86 seconds.
