BREAKING: A significant fire engulfed a mobile home in Belaire Estates, Lake Country, early Saturday morning, but thankfully, there were no injuries reported. At approximately 7:15 a.m., both the Kelowna and Lake Country Fire Departments responded to the scene of the fully engulfed structure.

Smoke billowed into the Lake Country sky as emergency responders arrived, facing a rapidly spreading blaze. Kynan O’Rourke, fire chief of Lake Country, confirmed, “We have extensive fire damage. We were able to keep it to just one unit; it didn’t spread.” Fire crews quickly extinguished a nearby tree that caught fire, preventing further damage.

All residents inside the mobile home managed to evacuate safely, with two individuals evaluated by paramedics as a precaution. No animals were harmed in the incident, which has left significant destruction in its wake.

Fire crews from both departments will remain on the scene for further investigation into the cause of the fire. The community is urged to stay clear of the area as officials work to ensure safety and assess the damage.

This fire serves as a reminder of the unpredictable nature of such emergencies and the importance of fire safety. More updates are expected as investigations continue into what led to this alarming incident. Stay tuned for further developments.
