UPDATE: In a shocking turn of events, Tom Boulding, the husband of missing B.C. mother Jennifer Provencal, has vehemently denied any involvement in her disappearance. Jennifer vanished under suspicious circumstances from her home in Forest Grove, near 100 Mile House, on February 5, 2024, but her absence was not reported until April 21, raising serious concerns among investigators.

Authorities have confirmed that Jennifer, a mother of three known as the “Bead Barn Lady,” was last seen at her rural property, where she lived off-grid with her husband and their 14-year-old son. The delay in reporting her missing has led police to suspect foul play in her case, and the RCMP has since launched a major investigation.

In a recent interview, Johanne Provencal, Jennifer’s sister, expressed her desperation for answers. “I just want to find out what happened to my sister,” she stated, highlighting the emotional toll this situation is taking on the family. Johanne, who resides in Montreal, revealed that her last conversation with Jennifer occurred in July 2024, shortly after Boulding was injured in a tragic school bus accident that left one pedestrian dead and over 30 others injured.

Boulding claims that the couple had an argument before Jennifer disappeared, stating, “We had an argument about my time management skills.” He noted that he left to get hay and returned home to find her gone. “She has left before to stay in a motel, but I thought she was just out visiting,” he added. However, the timeline of events is raising eyebrows, especially since Boulding did not report her missing for over two months.

On April 21, after Johanne urged him to contact authorities, the RCMP was finally notified. Since then, multiple updates have been released, including a June 3 announcement urging anyone with information to come forward. The latest development on September 22 confirmed that authorities now suspect foul play.

Boulding has consistently maintained his innocence, insisting he has “nothing beyond” the fact that she disappeared and stating emphatically, “I did not kill my wife.” He believes Jennifer is still alive, describing her as a “strong, independent woman” capable of taking care of herself. However, Johanne fears the worst, noting, “Every day that goes by, I think it looks less likely that I’m wrong.”

With the investigation ongoing, the RCMP have urged the public to provide any information that could assist in locating Jennifer. “I know that there are people out there who know what happened to my sister,” Johanne pleaded, emphasizing the need for justice and closure for her family.

As the community grapples with this unsettling mystery, the emotional and psychological impact on Jennifer’s loved ones is profound. Her absence has left a void in the lives of her children and family, who are desperate for her return.

Authorities have not disclosed any further information about Boulding’s status, but he remains free and has not been charged with any crime. The investigation continues to unfold, and updates are expected as new leads emerge.

Stay tuned for more developments in this urgent case as the search for Jennifer Provencal intensifies. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the 100 Mile House RCMP immediately.
