The French company Transe Express will present “Mobile Homme,” an aerial parade in the ByWard Market on Friday night at 20:30. This captivating performance has enchanted audiences in 74 countries, showcasing the art of aerial performance. This event serves as a preview for the upcoming Nuit Blanche Ottawa, which is set to debut in the fall of 2026.

For those seeking a celebration of the arts, ArohaFest will be held at the National Arts Centre until Sunday. This bilingual festival highlights Indian culture through dance performances, workshops, and visual arts.

Families can enjoy the National Women’s Show at the EY Centre, featuring fashion, food, and fun activities. The show runs throughout the weekend and promises to be an engaging experience for all attendees.

Sports Events to Cheer For

Sports enthusiasts will find plenty to cheer about this weekend. The Ottawa Redblacks are set to host the Montreal Alouettes at TD Place on Saturday at 15:00. This matchup marks the Redblacks’ final home game of the 2025 season, and fans can participate in a Tailgate Party on the Great Lawn at Lansdowne before the game.

Simultaneously, the Ottawa Senators will face off against the New York Islanders at the Canadian Tire Centre, also at 15:00. The game will celebrate Oktoberfest, offering a festive atmosphere for fans. Tickets for both events can be purchased through the respective team’s websites.

Adding to the weekend’s sporting spirit, the Ottawa 67’s will host the Kingston Frontenacs at TD Place on Sunday. Game time is set for 15:00, providing another opportunity for local fans to support their teams.

The 613flea returns to Lansdowne on Saturday, featuring over 150 vendors from 10:00 to 16:00. Meanwhile, the Lansdowne Farmers Market will welcome visitors on Sunday, connecting them with over 85 local vendors from 10:00 to 15:00.
