The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has announced a recall of certain brands of pistachios in British Columbia due to potential contamination with Salmonella. The recall, issued on Friday, affects two specific products following a CFIA test result.

The affected items include Pistachio In-Shell Lime and Saffron, which lacks a label, and Persian Style Pistachios with Saffron. Both products are sold in various sizes. The Pistachio In-Shell Lime and Saffron was available for sale between September 5 and 19, 2025, while the Persian Style Pistachios were sold from August 28 to October 11, 2025, bearing the codes #7081 and #7080.

As of now, no illnesses have been reported in connection with this recall. However, consumers are advised to take this situation seriously. If you possess any of the recalled products, it is recommended that you do not consume them. Instead, you should either return the pistachios to the retailer where they were purchased or dispose of them safely.

The CFIA emphasizes the importance of monitoring for symptoms of illness. Should anyone suspect they have become sick after consuming these products, they are urged to contact their healthcare provider immediately.

This recall highlights the ongoing efforts of the CFIA to ensure food safety across Canada. For additional information and updates, consumers can visit the official CFIA website.
