Prince Albert Science Centre Hosts Family-Friendly Slime Lab

The Prince Albert Science Centre is inviting families to engage in some creative fun as Halloween approaches. On October 18, 19, 25, and 26, the centre will host a slime lab, offering a hands-on experience for children and parents alike. From 12:00 to 16:00 each day, participants can create and decorate their own slime for a fee of $10 per container.
The event aims to provide an interactive way for families to embrace the Halloween spirit while learning about the science behind slime. Sandra Williams, Chair of the Prince Albert Science Centre, highlighted the importance of such activities in fostering curiosity among young minds. “We want to create a fun environment where children can explore their creativity and learn at the same time,” she stated.
As excitement builds for the upcoming event, attendees will have the opportunity to experiment with various colors and textures. The slime lab not only promises a gooey good time but also encourages children to think creatively. Participants can take home their unique creations as a reminder of their experience.
Local media personality Nigel Maxwell from paNOW took part in the slime-making process, getting his hands dirty and experiencing the fun first-hand. His involvement underscores the community’s engagement with the Science Centre’s initiatives, which aim to blend education with entertainment.
The slime lab is part of a broader effort by the Prince Albert Science Centre to offer engaging programming throughout the year. By hosting events that capture the imagination of children, the centre seeks to inspire a love for science and learning.
Parents interested in attending the slime lab can register in advance to secure their spots. For more information, visit the Prince Albert Science Centre’s official website or contact them directly. The slime lab promises to be an unforgettable experience that combines fun with science, making it a perfect outing for families this October.
