URGENT UPDATE: The Montreal Alouettes have just announced a significant move by offering David Dallaire, a talented centre-back from Quebec, a three-year contract that will keep him with the team through the end of the 2028 season. This deal marks a major commitment to a player who has already made a notable impact in his early career.

Alouettes General Manager Danny Maciocia praised Dallaire’s versatility and performance, stating, “David can play multiple roles on our team and always delivers. He has won at every level he has played, and his attitude is exemplary. We are happy to be able to count on his services for the long term.”

In the 2025 season, Dallaire showcased his skills by catching 13 passes for 105 yards and scoring one touchdown. He also contributed on special teams with three tackles and returned a kickoff for 10 yards during his 16 games played.

The 26-year-old athlete hails from Saint-Georges and is a former standout at Université Laval Rouge et Or. A second-round pick, 13th overall, in the 2023 CFL draft, Dallaire celebrated a Grey Cup victory in his rookie season with the Alouettes, further solidifying his reputation as a rising star in the league.

As the Alouettes gear up for their crucial matchup this Saturday at Percival Molson Stadium against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the East Division semifinal, fans can expect Dallaire to be an integral part of their playoff push.

Stay tuned for more updates as this developing story unfolds. The Alouettes are making moves that signal their intent to build a strong team for the future, and Dallaire’s long-term commitment is a key element in that strategy.
