Catholic Education Foundation Seeks $1 Million to Support Students
The Catholic Education Foundation has launched its 2025 Annual Appeal, aiming to raise $1 million in scholarships for students in the Diocese of Joliet. This initiative is designed to assist families facing financial challenges in accessing a Catholic education, ensuring that no child is denied this opportunity due to cost.
This year’s appeal comes in response to a growing demand for Catholic schooling. In the previous academic year, the Foundation supported 992 elementary school students and 545 high school students across the diocese. The Foundation’s efforts have opened doors for many families, but the financial need continues to expand, highlighting the importance of community support.
Growing Need for Financial Support
As interest in Catholic education remains strong, the financial gap is widening, making the Foundation’s goal even more critical. The appeal emphasizes that every contribution, regardless of size, directly supports students and families in need, allowing them to choose a Catholic education.
“Your generosity not only strengthens our schools and communities but also empowers families to make educational choices for their children,” said a spokesperson for the Catholic Education Foundation. “We are committed to ensuring that financial barriers do not prevent any child from receiving a quality education.”
How to Contribute
Individuals interested in supporting this initiative can make donations through the Foundation’s website at www.cefjoliet.org. The campaign is structured to encourage contributions from all community members, emphasizing that collective efforts can lead to significant change.
