This contemplation led her to a profound realization: “I have a love story – and that’s the title of the book.”

Despite her initial hesitation about writing, MacMaster embraced the process, even composing the entire book on her phone. “I’m so honoured,” she said of her journey. “I still don’t consider myself a writer… but I got ‘er done.” Her humility is evident as she recounts her excitement over sharing her Cape Breton roots at the Toronto International Festival of Authors.
