Two Injured in Stabbing Incident in Downtown Toronto

Two individuals were injured early on November 2, 2025, in a stabbing incident near Moss Park in downtown Toronto. According to the Toronto Police, officers responded to reports of a dispute in the area of Sherbourne Street and Shuter Street around 1:15 a.m., where they discovered two men in their twenties suffering from stab wounds.

Both victims were promptly taken to a hospital, where their injuries were assessed as non-life-threatening. A third man, also in his twenties, was arrested at the scene. Police have not yet disclosed whether he will face any charges related to the incident.

Additional Incidents in Toronto

In a separate incident, a woman was arrested during a demonstration in North York on the same day. The event, which took place near Bathurst Street and Sheppard Avenue at approximately 12:30 p.m., led to her being charged with assault with a weapon and threatening. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in connection with this incident.

Ongoing Investigations and Related Cases

Additionally, the province’s police watchdog, the Special Investigations Unit (SIU), is investigating the death of a 19-year-old woman following a collision involving an Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) cruiser in Essex County. According to the SIU, the incident occurred on County Road 20, southeast of Windsor, as an OPP officer was driving before colliding with the pedestrian.

The woman was transported to a hospital but was later pronounced dead. To support the investigation, the SIU has assigned two investigators, two forensics officers, and a crash reconstructionist to the case.

Authorities continue to assess the details surrounding these incidents as investigations proceed.
