AC/DC Announces 2026 Tour Dates in Toronto and Across Canada

AC/DC has officially announced their return to the stage with a series of concerts across Canada, including a highly anticipated performance at Toronto’s Rogers Stadium on September 16, 2026. This concert is part of their extended 21-date Power Up tour, which initially began in 2024-25. Alongside Toronto, the band will also perform in Edmonton on August 9, Vancouver on August 13, and Montreal on September 12.
Tickets for these concerts will go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. through livenation.com. The tour takes its name from the band’s acclaimed 2020 album, Power Up, which marked their return after a lengthy hiatus.
AC/DC’s Current Lineup and Legacy
The current lineup of AC/DC features Angus Young on lead guitar, Brian Johnson as vocalist, and Stevie Young on rhythm guitar. Joining them are drummer Matt Laug, who replaced Phil Rudd, and bassist Chris Chaney of Jane’s Addiction, who stepped in for Cliff Williams. Notably, Angus Young is the only original member still in the band, although Brian Johnson has been with AC/DC since replacing original singer Bon Scott in 1980.
The band has enjoyed immense success, selling over 200 million albums globally. Their 1980 release, Back In Black, remains the best-selling album by any band, with over 50 million copies sold.
Health Concerns and Recent Activities
Brian Johnson’s health issues previously forced the band to halt their 2015-16 Rock or Bust World Tour. Doctors advised him to stop touring to avoid the risk of complete deafness. During this time, Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose filled in for him, and the band took a break after the tour concluded.
In August 2018, speculation arose that AC/DC was working on new material after band members were seen at various locations in Vancouver, including the Warehouse Studio.
For fans who love live music but cannot attend the concerts in person, a new streaming option is available. VEEPS, a music-first streaming service, now operates in Canada, offering live shows and an extensive archive of past performances. An introductory offer of 30% off is currently available for new users.
As AC/DC gears up for this exciting tour, fans can look forward to a celebration of rock music’s enduring legacy, showcasing both classic hits and newer material from the band’s latest album.
