Winners Announced in 2025/26 Calgary Readers’ Choice Awards
The 2025/26 Calgary Readers’ Choice Awards have unveiled their winners across various categories, recognizing outstanding businesses in automotive, child services and education, entertainment, tourism, health, and fitness. This annual event celebrates local favorites as voted on by the residents of Calgary, providing a platform for community engagement and support for local enterprises.
Automotive Category Highlights
In the automotive sector, the awards showcased a range of top-performing businesses. The title for the Favourite Auto Dealer Service Department went to Stampede Toyota, followed by Charlesglen Toyota and a tie for bronze between Cochrane Toyota and South Point Toyota.
For auto glass services, Crystal Glass secured the gold medal, while Cal-Alta Auto Glass and GlassMasters Autoglass took silver and bronze, respectively. The Favourite Auto Repair Shop award was claimed by Mike’s Auto Service, with JRS Auto Repair and Knibbe Automotive Repair following in second and third place.
The winners in car wash services included Co-op Car Wash as the gold winner, while Mint Smartwash and Big Bucket Car Wash earned silver and bronze. In the specific dealership categories, Capital Chevrolet Buick GMC was recognized for the best Calgary Chevrolet Auto Dealer Experience, with Shaw GMC Chevrolet Buick and Jack Carter rounding out the top three.
Child Services and Education
The awards also highlighted exceptional service providers in child services and education. Kumon was named the Favourite After School Tutorial Service, with Foothills Academy and Sylvan Learning following closely.
In the private school category, Foothills Academy took home the gold, whilst West Island College and Strathcona-Tweedsmuir School secured silver and bronze. The Favourite Day Care Service was awarded to Brightpath, with Children’s Place Daycare and Fueling Brains Academy completing the top three positions.
These awards not only highlight the best businesses in Calgary but also reflect the community’s values and preferences. The results serve as a testament to the hard work and dedication of these establishments, which contribute significantly to the local economy and quality of life. As the city continues to grow, these businesses remain an integral part of Calgary’s vibrant community.
