The Irish classical-pop trio, The Celtic Tenors, kick off their Christmas concert tour in Canada this week, starting with a performance in Surrey, BC. The concert is scheduled for November 27, 2023, at the Bell Performing Arts Centre, marking the beginning of a festive journey that includes stops in three additional cities.

Following their Surrey appearance, the group will perform at the Port Theatre in Nanaimo on November 29, the Mary Winspear Centre in Sidney on December 1, and conclude in Kelowna at the BC Community Theatre on December 2. This leg of the tour highlights their unique blend of traditional ballads and modern favorites, appealing to a wide audience.

The trio, comprised of singers Matthew Gilsenan, Daryl Simpson, and George Hutton, aims to deliver a heartwarming experience. In a statement, Gilsenan expressed the essence of their performances, stating, “Every concert is about connection — sharing a song, a story, and leaving the world a little brighter.”

Promising a “festive celebration of Celtic charm, timeless favorites, and heartfelt storytelling,” the tour is expected to resonate with audiences of all ages. Tickets for the concert in Surrey start at $40.40 and are available via the Bell Performing Arts Centre’s website.

In addition to their tour, The Celtic Tenors recently released a new version of the classic song “The Holy City,” originally composed in 1892. This new rendition is available on their official website, celtic-tenors.com, adding to their repertoire of contemporary and traditional music.

As the holiday season approaches, The Celtic Tenors’ concert tour serves as a reminder of the joy of music and community, bringing together fans in a celebration of culture and artistry.
