The city of Rock Falls is set to launch its sixth annual drive-thru holiday light display at Centennial Park starting on November 28. This festive event features 25 stunning light displays, crafted by local businesses, churches, organizations, and schools, transforming the park into a winter wonderland filled with seasonal cheer.
The holiday light display will be open to the public every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. until December 27. Admission is free, although donations are encouraged to support local initiatives. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely drive through the park while taking in the festive decorations.
On November 29, the event will feature a special highlight: no vehicles will be permitted as Northern Star Farm will offer horse-drawn wagon rides from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.. This unique experience promises to enhance the holiday spirit for families and individuals alike.
In addition to the light display, a community initiative will take place on December 5 with a canned food drive in support of the Sauk Valley Food Bank. Attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to contribute to this important cause.
Families looking for a special holiday treat should mark their calendars for December 12. On this evening, children will have the opportunity to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., creating memorable moments for attendees of all ages.
Located at 508 E. 11th St., Centennial Park becomes a hub of joy and community engagement during this festive season. The annual holiday light display invites everyone to celebrate the spirit of giving and togetherness that defines this time of year.
