Streator Library Unveils Exciting Week of Free Programs for All Ages
The Streator Public Library is set to host an engaging week of programs from December 8 to December 13, 2023, featuring activities for individuals of all ages. The lineup includes a diverse range of events, including an ornaments-themed scavenger hunt and a Lego Club specifically designed for children, with parental supervision required for Lego activities.
Weekly Schedule Highlights
On Monday, December 8, the library will kick off the week with a session titled “Make It: TikTok for Teens,” running from 17:00 to 18:00. This workshop aims to educate teens on safe video creation techniques.
The following day, Tuesday, December 9, will feature the Library Book Club for adults from 10:00 to 11:00 and an Afternoon Watercolor session for ages 10 and up from 16:30 to 17:30. A special Storytime titled “Holidays Around the World” for young children will take place from 18:00 to 18:30.
Wednesday, December 10, offers a chance for teens to gather for Game Time from 15:00 to 16:00, followed by a Murder Mystery Meetup for both teens and adults from 18:00 to 19:00.
Thursday’s events, on December 11, include the Mother Goose Club for toddlers from 11:00 to 11:30, and a Snap Circuits workshop for ages 8 and up from 16:30 to 17:30. The evening will conclude with an Acrylic Painting class for children from 18:00 to 19:00.
On Friday, December 12, children can enjoy Paw Patrol Playtime from 15:30 to 16:30, which includes stories, coloring activities, and videos.
Finally, the week wraps up on Saturday, December 13, with an iPhone Tech Tutorial for adults from 11:00 to 12:00, followed by a Dice Bag Sewing class for teens and adults from 13:00 to 14:00.
