Noodle Cat Games has announced the Open Beta for its upcoming action role-playing game, Cloudheim. This beta period will take place from July 18 to July 21, 2025, allowing players to engage in its unique co-op gameplay ahead of the game’s full release later this year on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Designed with cooperative play in mind, Cloudheim enables up to four players to collaborate within a vibrant, fully destructible environment. The game emphasizes creativity in combat, leveraging physics to deliver chaotic experiences. Players can interact with the world in dynamic ways, such as knocking over pillars or hurling enemies into the air using tornadoes. This approach ensures that each encounter offers unpredictable outcomes, keeping the gameplay fresh and engaging.

Customization is a central feature of Cloudheim. Players can craft a variety of weapons and gear in real-time by combining materials at forges located throughout the game. This process occurs without the need for menus or pausing the action, allowing seamless integration of crafting into the shared world. While loot and crafted items are communal, individual character progression remains distinct, requiring teams to coordinate effectively as they advance through the game.

Exploration is another key aspect of Cloudheim, with players invited to traverse scattered islands and ancient dungeons. Central to this exploration is the Odin Shell, a massive flying turtle that serves as both a home and a workshop. Players can build and decorate their space, run shops, and uncover hidden secrets inspired by Norse mythology.

As players participate in the Open Beta, they will experience the unpredictable and emergent gameplay that Cloudheim promises. With its focus on experimentation and cooperative mechanics, this game aims to redefine the action RPG genre. The Open Beta serves as an exciting preview of the mayhem that awaits when the game officially launches later this year.
