Calgary Folk Festival Welcomes Begonia to Sunday Lineup

The Calgary Folk Festival has announced that Canadian singer-songwriter Begonia will join the Sunday lineup as a last-minute replacement for Riognhach Connolly and Honeyfeet. The original artists had to cancel their performances due to injury. Festival organizers expressed their excitement on social media, stating, “We’re thrilled to announce we’ve made lemons into lemonade and replaced Honeyfeet with Winnipeg’s powerhouse thinking woman’s pop princess Begonia!”
Begonia is set to take the stage at the ATB mainstage on Sunday, July 27, 2024. Beyond her solo performance, she will collaborate with other artists throughout the weekend during unique session events. The addition of Begonia adds a fresh dynamic to the festival, which is known for celebrating diverse musical talent.
The Calgary Folk Festival kicks off on Thursday, with gates opening at 16:00 local time. The mainstage for the opening night will feature performances from artists such as Olive Klug, Elisapie, Arrested Development, and Sierra Ferrell. The festival promises an engaging lineup that caters to a wide array of musical tastes, ensuring an enjoyable experience for attendees.
