Actress Kelley Mack of ‘The Walking Dead’ Passes Away at 33

Actress Kelley Mack, known for her role as Addy in Season 9 of The Walking Dead, has passed away at the age of 33. She died on August 2 after a courageous battle with glioma, a type of cancerous tumour affecting the central nervous system. The news was confirmed through an online obituary and a heartfelt post by her family on her official Instagram account, which has over 14,500 followers.
In their message, Mack’s family expressed profound sadness, stating, “It is with indelible sadness that we are announcing the passing of our dear Kelley. Such a bright, fervent light has transitioned to the beyond, where we all eventually must go.”
Career Highlights and Achievements
Mack’s career included notable performances beyond her time on The Walking Dead. She portrayed Penelope Jacobs in Season 8 of Chicago Med and secured a role in the popular series 9-1-1 on Fox. Her talent also extended to commercial work, featuring in advertisements for well-known brands such as Dr Pepper, Budweiser, and Chick-fil-A.
Her voice acting included a role as the voice match for Hailee Steinfeld’s character, Gwen Stacy, in the acclaimed animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, released in 2018. In addition to her television and commercial work, Mack appeared in the 2021 film Broadcast Signal Intrusion and had upcoming roles in Delicate Arch and a Universal project, which she also served as an executive producer.
