The talented student has been awarded a substantial $50,000 scholarship from The Cmolik Foundation to support her post-secondary studies in biochemistry and forensic science.

This scholarship recognizes Masse’s extraordinary journey of overcoming adversity while excelling academically. “As Sarah’s Science 10 teacher, I witnessed firsthand her exceptional work ethic, resilience, and dedication to both her education and community,” stated Tracey Foster, a teacher at Reynolds Secondary. Foster highlighted Masse’s unique combination of ambition and humility, which positions her as an inspiring role model for her peers.

Masse is set to begin her studies at the University of British Columbia next month, where she will pursue a dual major in biochemistry and forensic science. “I have been very interested in science for the past few years, especially lab and practical work,” Masse expressed, emphasizing her passion for the field.

Sarah Masse’s story is not just about a scholarship; it’s a testament to perseverance and the belief that education can change lives. With her sights set on a future in forensic science, she represents the potential of young minds ready to tackle the challenges ahead.
