Defence contractor Calian Group Ltd. has announced a significant turnaround in its financial performance, reporting a fourth-quarter profit of $20.6 million for the period ending September 30, 2025. This marks a notable increase in profitability as the company’s revenue rose by 12 percent compared to the same quarter last year.

In its latest financial report, Calian stated that the profit translated to $1.80 per diluted share, a considerable improvement from a loss of $568,000, or five cents per diluted share, recorded in the same quarter of the previous year. When adjusted for various factors, the company reported earnings of $1 per diluted share, up from an adjusted profit of 87 cents per diluted share in the prior year.

Revenue for the quarter totaled $203.2 million, increasing from $181.2 million during the same period in 2024. The company’s backlog, which indicates future revenue from contracts, stood at an impressive $1.4 billion as of September 30.

Calian’s Chief Executive Officer, Kevin Ford, described the fourth-quarter results as a turning point for the organization. He highlighted that the revenue growth was a result of both organic expansion and strategic acquisitions, signaling a robust operational strategy moving forward.

The results underscore Calian’s effective response to market demands and suggest a strong position within the defence contracting sector. As the company continues to navigate a complex landscape, its financial health appears to be on an upward trajectory, driven by a solid backlog and diverse revenue streams.
