Grundy Bank Launches Annual “Lights, Camera, Save!” Contest
Grundy Bank has officially opened submissions for its annual “Lights, Camera, Save!” video contest, a national initiative designed to promote financial literacy among teenagers. Organized by the American Bankers Association Foundation, this competition encourages participants to create short videos that highlight the importance of sound money management.
“Lights, Camera, Save! gives students a chance to showcase their creativity, explore how to manage money wisely, and share what they’ve learned with their peers,” stated Ava Terry, Marketing Director at Grundy Bank. She emphasized the significance of financial literacy, noting that “the earlier they learn these lessons, the better prepared they’ll be” for their future.
Participants must be aged between 13 and 18 and create videos that are no longer than 30 seconds. The content should focus on wise money usage, allowing teens to express their understanding in a creative format. Submissions can be made by sending a link to the video alongside a completed entry form to Grundy Bank by November 30.
Judging and Cash Prizes
Grundy Bank will conduct the first round of judging and select a winner who will progress to the national level, where they will compete for one of three cash prizes: $10,000 for first place, $5,000 for second place, and $2,500 for third place. The national contestants will engage in a competitive format on the American Bankers Association Instagram page during the first round of judging. Audience engagement will play a crucial role in determining which videos advance to the second round of national assessment.
Videos will be evaluated based on quality, messaging, content, and adherence to the contest criteria. The initiative not only benefits participants by enhancing their financial skills but also aims to spread essential knowledge about money management within their peer groups.
