Lehner Electric Ltd. Secures $75,000 Sponsorship at LCCLC
Lehner Electric Ltd. has made a significant contribution to the Lake Country Co-op Leisure Centre (LCCLC) by donating $75,000 as part of the Play It Forward community-led fundraising campaign. This donation will secure the naming rights for the company, with their name prominently displayed beneath the scorekeeper’s boxes in both Arena 1 and Arena 2.
The City of Prince Albert acknowledged Lehner Electric’s longstanding commitment to the community, highlighting its role in the residential, commercial, and institutional development of the area. A recent news release stated, “The company’s work has supported modernization across Prince Albert, underscoring its reputation as a reliable contributor to essential community infrastructure.”
Commitment to Community Development
Beyond their financial support, the Lehner family has been active in promoting education, youth athletics, and volunteerism in Prince Albert. This involvement has played a vital role in strengthening the community and creating opportunities for local youth. Councillor Dawn Kilmer, representing the Play It Forward campaign, remarked, “This generous sponsorship reflects the Lehner family’s deep and longstanding commitment to Prince Albert. Their support of the Lake Country Co-op Leisure Centre will benefit residents for decades, and we are proud to recognize their contribution within the new facility.”
This sponsorship comes at a time when local facilities are gearing up for the holiday season. The LCCLC will be closed on December 25, 2023, for Christmas Day, and will open from noon to 5 p.m. on December 26, 2023. It will remain closed from December 27 to 30, and again on January 2, 2024. Residents are encouraged to check the Facility Hours Map on the city’s website for the most current information regarding hours at City Hall and other facilities.
The partnership between Lehner Electric Ltd. and the Lake Country Co-op Leisure Centre exemplifies the impact local businesses can have on community development and the importance of supporting initiatives that benefit all residents.
