David Clegg Takes Helm as Chair of Albert College Board
Albert College has appointed David Clegg, a graduate of the institution, as the new Chair of its Board of Governors. Clegg officially assumed the role during the board’s annual general meeting held earlier this month in Belleville. His appointment marks a significant step in the college’s ongoing efforts to enhance its strategic direction and future goals.
Throughout his tenure, Clegg will collaborate closely with the board to advance the implementation of the school’s Strategic Plan. This plan focuses on positioning the college for long-term success by fostering academic excellence and community engagement. Clegg replaces Kerry Lorimer, who served on the board for ten years, including two years as chair.
In expressing gratitude for Lorimer’s contributions, the college highlighted her commitment to the institution and the invaluable leadership she provided during her time as chair. As she transitions to the role of past chair, Lorimer will continue to support the board’s initiatives and future endeavors.
Clegg’s background as an alumnus of Albert College brings a unique perspective to his new role. He is expected to leverage his experience and connections to strengthen the college’s community ties and explore new opportunities for growth.
The Board of Governors plays a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of Albert College. With Clegg at the helm, the college aims to build on its rich history while navigating the challenges and opportunities of the modern educational landscape.
The Albert College community looks forward to the leadership and vision that Clegg will bring to his position, as the institution continues to strive for excellence in education and service.
