DeKalb Library to Present Educational Program on Underground Railroad

The DeKalb Public Library is set to host an informative program for adults and teens focused on the history of the Underground Railroad in Illinois. Scheduled for November 18, 2023, the event will take place from 18:00 to 20:00 in the library’s lower-level Yusunas Meeting Room, located at 309 Oak St.

Participants will have the opportunity to explore the regional aspects of the Underground Railroad, a network that played a crucial role in aiding enslaved people seeking freedom. The program will be facilitated by students from Northern Illinois University, who will guide attendees through this significant historical topic.
