Edfors to Present Beaver Island’s History at Fulton Event on Dec. 3

The opening of the Wild Winter Wednesday program season on December 3, 2023, will feature a new speaker due to a medical emergency involving Dana Starkell. Hannah Pannell Edfors, a naturalist with Clinton County Conservation, will lead the presentation, taking attendees on a historical journey to explore the rich past of Beaver Island.

The event will be hosted at the Windmill Cultural Center in Fulton, where doors will open at 08:30 a.m. Guests can enjoy complimentary coffee, hot cider, and mill treats before the program begins at approximately 09:15 a.m. Edfors, a native of Fulton, has developed a deep appreciation for the outdoors and the river, which has shaped her passion for conservation and education.

The program is free and open to the public, and the venue is accessible to individuals with disabilities. In the event of inclement weather, if River Bend Schools are closed, delayed, or conducting remote learning, the Wild Winter Wednesday program will be canceled.
