Hannah Edfors to Present Beaver Island History at Fulton Event
The opening of the Wild Winter Wednesday program on December 3, 2023, will feature a presentation by Hannah Pannell Edfors, who will discuss the rich history of Beaver Island. This change comes following a medical emergency involving the originally scheduled speaker, Dana Starkell. Edfors, a native of Fulton and a naturalist with Clinton County Conservation, brings her passion for the outdoors and local history to the event.

The program will take place at the Windmill Cultural Center in Fulton. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. with complimentary coffee, hot cider, and treats available for attendees. The presentation is set to begin around 9:15 a.m. The event is free and open to the public, making it accessible to anyone interested in learning more about Beaver Island’s historical significance.
The Windmill Cultural Center is fully accessible for individuals with disabilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for all attendees. In the event of inclement weather leading to the closure, delay, or remote learning status of River Bend Schools, the Wild Winter Wednesday program will be canceled.
