Illinois Valley Community College Announces Winter Break Schedule

Illinois Valley Community College (IVCC) has officially announced its winter break schedule, which will commence next week. The college will operate its campus services until 4:30 p.m. on December 19, 2025. Following this date, both the main campus and the Ottawa Center will close and remain inaccessible until January 1, 2026.

During the closure, students can still access essential services online. Those in need of official transcripts can place orders through the IVCC website at ivcc.edu/admissions/transcript.php. This online service ensures that students can obtain necessary documentation without delay, even while the campuses are closed.

The college’s facilities will briefly close again on the morning of January 8, 2026, for an all-campus employee in-service. Student support services and administrative offices will reopen at 1 p.m. that day, allowing for a smooth transition back to regular operations.

Classes for the spring semester are scheduled to commence on January 9, 2026, marking the return of students and faculty after the winter break. IVCC encourages all students to prepare for the upcoming semester and take advantage of the college’s online resources during the holiday period.
