The Hegeler-Carus Mansion, located in La Salle, Illinois, was designed by renowned architect W.W. Boyington and constructed in 1876. The mansion is celebrated for its architectural beauty and the notable families who inhabited it across generations. With seven levels and 57 rooms, the mansion has served as a backdrop for significant advancements in various fields, including industry, philosophy, publishing, and religion.

Visitors to the presentation will also have the opportunity to view a dedicated display about the Hegeler-Carus Mansion at the library. This exhibit will showcase related books from the library’s extensive collections, providing deeper insight into the mansion’s historical and cultural significance.

The event is open to both IVCC students and members of the local community. Attendees are encouraged to explore the connections between the mansion’s rich history and its impact on the surrounding area.
