Kishwaukee College Welcomes New Students at Discover Kish Event
Kishwaukee College is set to host its annual Discover Kish event on January 7, 2024, inviting new students and their families to explore the campus and learn about available resources. The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the college’s location on 21193 Malta Road, Malta, Illinois.
Discover Kish will feature a resource fair, student ID photo opportunities, and the chance to pick up course materials and textbooks. Attendees will also have the opportunity to collect college merchandise. Guided tours of the campus are scheduled for 11 a.m., 11:45 a.m., and 12:30 p.m., allowing participants to familiarize themselves with their new environment.
Kishwaukee College’s outreach and enrollment coordinator, Sandy Castillo Guzman, emphasized the importance of this event in helping students transition into college life. “Discover Kish is an exciting opportunity for new students to begin their college journey with confidence. Participants can tour campus, connect with faculty and staff, and complete important steps before classes begin. Our goal is to ensure every student feels prepared, informed, and genuinely welcomed into the Kishwaukee College community,” Guzman stated in a recent news release.
Check-in for the event will be held in the college’s student center. Attendees are encouraged to park in lot A and enter the building through door 6. While registration is recommended, it is not mandatory.
