Louisiana Public Broadcasting and Discovery Education Renew 22-Year Partnership
Louisiana Public Broadcasting (LPB) announced on July 24, 2025, the extension of its partnership with Discovery Education, extending a collaboration that has spanned over two decades. This renewed alliance ensures that Louisiana teachers will continue to have access to a wealth of digital resources designed to enhance educational experiences for students across the state.
As the largest digital classroom provider in Louisiana, LPB plays a crucial role in delivering educational content via multiple platforms, including over-the-air broadcasts and digital devices. The partnership with Discovery Education has been vital in equipping educators with innovative tools that promote active learning, stimulate student interest, and ultimately contribute to improved academic outcomes.
Through this collaboration, LPB has provided access to the Discovery Education Experience, a comprehensive library of digital resources specifically tailored for K-12 education. This platform includes engaging, cross-curricular content that supports teachers and encourages student participation across various subjects. The recent enhancements to the Discovery Education Experience include new tools, artificial intelligence technologies, and additional resources for career exploration, all aimed at enriching the educational landscape.
Clarence “C.C.” Copeland, President and CEO of Louisiana Public Broadcasting, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership extension: “We are delighted to mark our 22nd year of collaboration with Discovery Education. Together, we are equipping teachers with essential tools to ignite student curiosity and deepen engagement in learning.”
For educators utilizing Discovery Education’s resources, membership in the Discovery Educator Network (DEN) offers access to a global community of professionals. This network fosters collaboration and inspiration through social media platforms, virtual conferences, and in-person events. In 2025, the DEN celebrates its 20th anniversary, highlighting its role in connecting educators to one another.
“Discovery Education is excited to extend this long-standing partnership,” said Lyndley McNabb, Partnership Manager at Discovery Education. “The commitment shown by C.C. Copeland and Nancy Tooraen, Education Director at LPB, to support teachers and students across Louisiana is commendable, and we are honored to contribute to their efforts.”
This partnership not only enhances educational access but also empowers teachers with cutting-edge digital solutions that inspire curiosity and facilitate learning. For more information about the array of educational resources and professional development opportunities available through Discovery Education, interested parties are encouraged to visit their official website and explore their social media channels.
The long-standing collaboration between LPB and Discovery Education underscores the importance of innovative educational solutions in fostering academic success and engaging learning environments for students statewide.
