Peel District School Board Announces PA Days for 2025-26 School Year
As students in Mississauga, Brampton, and Caledon prepare for another academic year, the Peel District School Board has released its schedule for professional activity (PA) days and school holidays for the 2025-26 school year. Families are encouraged to mark their calendars as students will enjoy several breaks throughout the year, including a three-day weekend from September 19 to 21, 2025.
The calendars for both the Peel District School Board and the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board are now available, providing essential dates for parents and students to plan accordingly. The school year is set to conclude on June 26, 2026, marking the end of classes for the year. While both boards share similar schedules, there are notable differences that families should review.
Key Dates and Activities
In addition to the PA days, families should also be aware of other important dates throughout the school year, such as holidays and breaks. For instance, the upcoming PA days provide students with opportunities for additional learning activities outside of the traditional classroom setting. This year, schools will also implement various programs during these breaks to keep students engaged.
For questions regarding transportation services, Student Transportation of Peel Region is the consortium responsible for providing transportation to public and Catholic students in the Peel area. Parents can find more information about bus schedules and routes on their official website.
Local libraries in Mississauga, Brampton, and Caledon are also organizing activities during PA days to ensure students remain active and engaged. These initiatives are designed to foster a love for learning while providing a fun atmosphere during school breaks. Parents are encouraged to take advantage of these programs and consider visiting local attractions, including seasonal fall fairs happening from September 19 to 21.
As families settle into their back-to-school routines, planning for these important dates can help alleviate stress and ensure students make the most of their educational experience. Stay informed about upcoming events and programs to enhance your child’s school year.
