The DeKalb County Retired Teachers Association is set to convene a meeting for its members on November 11, 2023. The gathering will take place at 11:00 AM in the dining room of Oak Crest, located at 2944 Greenwood Acres, DeKalb. This event aims to foster a sense of community among retired educators and will feature insights from a guest speaker.

The month’s highlighted speaker is Matt Stark, a dietician from Hy-Vee. Stark will share valuable nutritional information tailored for retired teachers, addressing dietary considerations relevant to their lifestyle. Participants can look forward to an engaging presentation that promises to enhance their understanding of healthy eating.

Following the meeting, attendees will be treated to a buffet meal priced at $19. This opportunity not only allows for nourishment but also provides a platform for social interaction among peers. Retired teachers are strongly encouraged to attend, as these gatherings serve as an essential means of keeping connected with former colleagues and sharing experiences.

Registration for the event is required and must be completed by November 6. Interested participants can secure their spot by calling 815-895-5494. The DeKalb County Retired Teachers Association looks forward to welcoming its members to an informative and enjoyable gathering.
