Streator Library Unveils Exciting Week of Free Programs
The **Streator Public Library** will host an engaging week of free programs from **December 8 to December 13, 2023**. This initiative aims to offer a variety of activities catering to different age groups, encouraging community participation and creativity.
Throughout the week, attendees can enjoy a scavenger hunt themed around ornaments, as well as a **Lego Club** designed for children. Parental supervision is required for Lego activities to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.
Daily Highlights of Library Programs
On **Monday**, the library kicks off the week with a program titled **Make It: TikTok for Teens** from 17:00 to 18:00. This session will focus on teaching safe video creation techniques, providing valuable skills for young content creators.
**Tuesday** offers a mix of literary and artistic experiences. From 10:00 to 11:00, adults can join the **Library Book Club** to discuss various literary works. Later in the afternoon, children aged 10 and up can participate in an **Afternoon Watercolor** session from 16:30 to 17:30, while younger children are invited to **Storytime: Holidays Around the World** from 18:00 to 18:30.
**Wednesday** is packed with activities for all ages. Teens can enjoy **Game Time** from 15:00 to 16:00, followed by a **Murder Mystery Meetup** from 18:00 to 19:00, welcoming both teens and adults to join in on the fun.
On **Thursday**, toddlers can engage in the **Mother Goose Club** from 11:00 to 11:30. The afternoon features **Snap Circuits** for children aged 8 and up from 16:30 to 17:30, and an **Evening Acrylic Painting** session for younger children from 18:00 to 19:00.
**Friday** highlights **Paw Patrol Playtime** for children from 15:30 to 16:30, filled with stories, coloring activities, and videos. This program promises to captivate young audiences with familiar characters and engaging content.
The week concludes on **Saturday** with two informative sessions. An **iPhone Tech Tutorial** for adults will take place from 11:00 to 12:00, helping participants navigate their devices more effectively. This will be followed by a **Dice Bag Sewing** workshop for teens and adults from 13:00 to 14:00, encouraging hands-on creativity.
